The Pearl of Orinsay
Out of the night she comes,
veiled among racing clouds,
a simple round of perfect light,
soft, and flawless among stars;
turning the wide sea silver.
We who sleep and wake again
far, far away, must feel content;
the self-same moon that lights
our longing dream, also lets fall
a light of pearls on Orinsay.
